There was a fellow called Mark Parsons. He was one of the founders of the Glade and tour managed bands such as Squarepusher, Aphex Twin and other artists on Warp Records. When the Glade was started he was determined to have a stage that represented the extremely leftfield proper electronics that his artist were making… In 2005, year 2, he got his way. That year it was the LittleBig tent… Named because the guys who ran it also had an agency with some of the finest pure electronica artists there are.
The following year it was renamed OVERKILL!!! And what an apt name.. It has become one of the most popular stages at the Glade and everyone who enters it walks away dumbfounded, feeling slightly beaten up and giggling. It is 21st century rave culture with a sense of the absurd, the experimental and the just plain mental..
