The issue of sound at the Glade Festival has always been one of our biggest challenges.
Two years ago we didn't get it right from both the perspective of our audience and also, and just as importantly, from that of those living locally. And on the basis of '3 strikes and you're out' we realised that we absolutely had to get it right.
Last year we started a new approach to the entire festival and it's sound footprint and it worked.. To a degree. This year we're making further improvements... We of course know that you all want it as loud as possible in the tents! So we're taking the work we did last year a step further by looking at new plans as to make it even better. Lining the tents with acoustic felt is one of them...
Sound fields are being used on all the main stages running after midnight; ie Breaksday, Liquid, Overkill and Vapor.
The effect of the technology is that outside of the soundfield there is a noise cancelling effect that means that the amount of 'pollution' from the stage is reduced. The sound in the field is clear and constant... It's killer.
And in the process you get the best systems in the world run by the most experienced engineers in the world... nice!!
