Welcome to the accessibility page for the Glade Festival.
Thanks to everyone who braved the weather and stuck with us last year! Lessons learnt and suggestions noted we've made a few changes which we hope will make the Glade 2008 as inclusive and enjoyable as possible.
Contact Details.
Seagh Farrington, our Disability Liaison can be contacted via e-mail at:
disabilityliaison@gladefestival.com
Tickets.
The Glade is offering one concessionary carers ticket per disabled person wanting to attend the festival. To apply, please contact Seagh at the above e-mail address before the 30th June 2008. Unfortunately we will be unable to process any applications made after this date. To qualify for this ticket you will need to provide proof of disability ie. a blue badge, DLA letter or a verifiable doctors letter.
Access.
To access the site you will need a disabled vehicle pass allowing you to take your equipment to the designated camping area and park in the disabled car park. Again please contact Seagh for an application form before the 30th June 2008.
Facilities.
• A designated camping area in the main site available to tents and small camper vans. By small we mean no longer than 5 meters, about the size of a VW camper! You will need to purchase a camper van ticket for this.
• Wheelchair compatible toilets and shower.
• Viewing platform at the Glade Stage.
• Extra seating around the site.
• Access to facilities for charging wheelchair batteries.
• Stewards to assist with any camping equipment etc.....
• First aid and welfare facilities.
If you have any other requirements, you need this or any other information in a different format eg. large print, or have any questions, please contact Seagh at the above e-mail address.
Please note the Glade site stretches over a hill with a grassy uneven surface and there will be flashing lights.
See You There!!
